simple nail art for summer

Here is another simple nail art that is perfect for the summer. This time I did Myla’s nails. I know that her favorite color is turquoise so I decided to use that as the main color in the design. Of course, you can use any color but if you are going for the summer feel, use bright colors such as bright blue, pink, yellow, green, and orange.

For this design, you just need two colors and the usual base and top coat. Make sure that the colors you use are stark contrast of each other to make them pop out. So once again, assuming that you already cleaned your nails, go ahead with the following steps:

1. Apply a base coat. If you want to use masking tapes to make perfect lines, you have to wait until the base coat dries up completely. Otherwise, you can go ahead and apply your secondary color (white) just like how it is shown on the first photo. Wait for it to dry.

2. Make sure that you leave a line of the secondary color (white) when you apply the main color (turquoise) on top of it just like how it is shown on the second photo.

3. Using a toothpick, dab small dots of the secondary color (white) on the main color. Make sure that you space out the dots to get a neat polka dot effect.

4. Apply a top coat. Wait for it to dry or you can use nail polish drying spray or a UV lamp nail polish dryer.

My interests in makeup and nail art started long before I decided to make a career out of these interests. I love highlighting the best in people's faces and helping them look their best through makeup. I am happy that I am able to continuously nurture these passions and that I am able to share it with you through this blog.
